Meet the Team

GleasonDale is led by Katie McCabe and David Kay, who took the helm in 2022 after years of mentorship under the company’s founders. With a combined background in finance recruitment, relationship management, and strategic hiring, they ensure GleasonDale continues to deliver outstanding results while maintaining its people-first approach.

David Kay

David Kay is a seasoned business leader and Partner at GleasonDale, where he brings over 30 years of experience in the Twin Cities business community. A University of St. Thomas graduate, David has built a career rooted in integrity, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.

Throughout his professional journey, David has been most deeply influenced by his mentors, Bill Gleason and Bob Dale, who helped him recognize his unique talent for connecting with people and adding value through personal and professional support. His approach to business is grounded in empathy, trust, and a desire to make a meaningful impact.

Outside of work, David enjoys spending quality time with his family, live music and hitting the golf course whenever he can. His life and career are guided by a simple principle: care about people, be a good human and success will follow.

Katie Mccabe

Katie McCabe joined GleasonDale in 2007, drawn to a business model where helping people was the goal and excited to learn from leaders who held themselves and their business to the highest of ethical standards.

She was hired to help source candidates and her natural ability to quickly build connection and genuine relationships with people, along with the generous mentorship of Bob Dale and Bill Gleason, led to career growth as she took on client management and business development roles in addition to recruiting. In 2022, after both founding Partners retired, Katie was lucky enough to be able to become a Partner and Owner of this well respected legacy business.

Katie’s favorite part of this job is the relationships she has built over the years and the trust that clients and candidates put in GleasonDale. It isn’t taken lightly. That trust is built over years of counseling, listening, and delivering what both candidates and clients are looking for; by serving as a collaborative and long-term partner as opposed to a transactional vendor. She is incredibly grateful for those relationships and for the people who reach out time and again, leaning on GleasonDale as a partner and resource.

Katie graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a degree in Music – Vocal Performance and continues to sing for fun when time allows. She and her husband are raising their twin boys in Hudson, WI.
